Capacity Building Programme

 A Capacity Building Program was jointly organised for the teachers of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon and Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Basantipur on 20 August 2026 at VKZPV Basantipur.

The program was conducted by Sir Ravindra Godbole and focused on toy making as a teaching-learning aid. Teachers from both schools actively participated in the activity and explored creative ways to use toys for making classroom learning more interesting and effective. They also shared their experiences and ideas.

The program was informative, creative and enriching for all the participating teachers.

80th Independence Day Celebration

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was attended by 349 students, 20 teachers, and 6 non-teaching staff members. The celebration began with a Prabhat Pheri by the students up to Laltikri, accompanied by patriotic slogans. On returning to school, the National Song was sung, followed by flag hoisting by the Principal Sir in the presence of SMC Chairman Shri M.V Manikam Pillai Ji. The National Anthem was then sung by all.

The Principal Sir welcomed the gathering, followed by an inspiring speech by student Anjel Kispotta on the importance of Independence Day and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Maithri Adhikary teacher also addressed the students and encouraged them to become responsible citizens.


The programme concluded with a patriotic song performed by the students, creating an atmosphere of unity, patriotism, and national pride.

Guru Purnima Celebration

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon celebrated Guru Purnima with great devotion on 29 July 2026 at Laltikry Community Hall. The programme was graced by Shri Shibananda Bairagi, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Pahalgaon, as the Chief Guest, while Shri M. V. Manikam Pillai, Chairperson of the School Management Committee, and Mrs. Latha, Vice Chairperson, attended as Guests of Honour.

The celebration witnessed the participation of 257 students, 20 teachers, 6 non-teaching staff, 17 alumni, and parents. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, Shri Kamal Chandra Das, followed by devotional songs, bhajans, dances, and speeches by students and teachers.

A prize distribution ceremony was held to honour the outstanding academic achievers of Class 10 (2025–26). The Chief Guest appreciated the school's efforts in promoting Indian culture and encouraged students to respect their teachers and strive for excellence. The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra, leaving everyone inspired and grateful.
