Krishna Janmashtami Celebration

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami on 4 September 2026 with great devotion, joy, and enthusiasm. A total of 198 students from Classes III to X, along with students of Balvatika I, II, III and Classes I and II, participated in the celebration.

The young students beautifully dressed up in colourful costumes representing Lord Krishna and Radha, adding charm and devotion to the programme. The celebration was attended by 29 parents and 20 teachers.

The programme began with a traditional Puja, followed by Anjali and Krishna Bhajan. On this auspicious occasion, Preeti Didi, Teacher of VKZPV Pahalgaon, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance and teachings of Lord Krishna.

The programme concluded with the joyful distribution of Prasad among all the participants, parents, teachers, and students. The celebration created a spiritual and joyful atmosphere and was enjoyed by everyone present.

Awareness Programs

Date: 1st September 2026

Three awareness programs were organised in the Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon to educate and sensitise the students on important issues related to child protection, health and well-being.

The first programme was conducted by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), North & Middle Andaman. The resource persons, Smt. Shilpita Biswas, Social Worker, DCPU and Shri Priyatan Kumar, Protection Officer (NIC), DCPU, spoke about the role and functions of DCPU, child rights and child marriage. The session helped students understand their basic rights and the importance of child protection.

The second awareness programe was conducted by Dr. Priyanka, R.P. Hospital, along with Kritika Chander, MO (Homoeo) PHC, on balanced diet, nutrition, health and hygiene. A mental health and telemedicine awareness talk was also conducted, highlighting the importance of maintaining good physical and mental health.

The third programe was conducted by the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA), North & Middle Andaman, session took by Shri Alex Minj Counselor IRCA, focusing on drug abuse and its prevention. Students were made aware of the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraged to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

The programs were informative and interactive, helping students develop greater awareness about their rights, health, mental well-being and the harmful effects of substance abuse.

Shraddhanjali Karyakram

Participants: 374 students, 18 teaching staff and 6 supporting staff.

Morning Assembly

- Nisha Didi presented the Jeevan Parichay of Mananeeya Sri A. Balakrishnanji.

- Shraddhanjali: 374 students offered solemn Shraddhanjali with devotion.

Evening Program

- The Program began with Omkar and Shanti Path.

- Papia Didi presented his Jeevan Parichay and contribution.

- Remembrance Address: The SMC Chairperson shared his thoughts and remembered his ideals.

- Geeta chanting was performed with devotion.

-  Ritik Bhaiya delivered a heartfelt Shraddhanjali speech.

-  Nisha Didi shared her association with him at APS and his inspiring values.

- Staff members and the SMC Chairperson offered Pushpanjali.

- “Shri Ram Jaya Ram” was chanted eleven times.

- The Program concluded with the Shanti Mantra, reflecting reverence and gratitude.
