Report on 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, commemorated the 150th Anniversary of Vande Mataram on November 7, 2025, during its morning assembly. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from 415 students, 19 teachers, and 6 support staff members. The program commenced with an address by Prashanta Bhaiya, who underscored the historical and cultural significance of "Vande Mataram" and its pivotal role in India's freedom movement. This was followed by a melodious rendition of the song, which imbued the campus with patriotic fervor. The harmonious voices of students and teachers collectively fostered an atmosphere of unity, love, and devotion towards the Motherland, inspiring all attendees to uphold the values of respect, service, and dedication to the nation.

Mock Drills on Earthquake and Tsunami

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon meticulously organized and executed a series of comprehensive Mock Drills on November 4th, focusing specifically on preparedness for potential Earthquake and Tsunami scenarios. These crucial safety exercises commenced promptly at 8:45 AM and concluded by 10:00 AM, taking place within the secure confines of the school premises. 

The drills saw an impressive level of participation, with a total of 412 students actively engaging in the simulated emergency responses. Guiding and supervising these vital exercises were 20 dedicated teachers, who provided instruction and ensured adherence to safety protocols.


Additionally, 6 supporting staff members played an integral role in facilitating the smooth operation of the drills, contributing to a well-coordinated and effective learning experience for all involved. The primary objective was to enhance awareness and practical response skills among the school community.

Report on Resource Mapping Session

 On the auspicious date of October 25, 2025, the esteemed Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, situated in the serene locality of Pahalgaon, had the distinct honor of hosting a comprehensive and highly beneficial Resource Mapping Session. This particular session was meticulously organized and specifically tailored for the intellectual and personal development of students enrolled in Classes IX and X, representing a crucial phase in their academic and formative years. The entire session was expertly guided and facilitated by the distinguished Shri H. G. Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji, a revered spiritual leader and representative from the internationally recognized organization, ISKCON Andaman. His presence brought a profound sense of spiritual wisdom and practical guidance to the educational institution. Throughout the duration of the session, Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji delivered an exceptionally insightful and deeply engaging discourse, offering invaluable guidance and profound perspectives on a multitude of pivotal topics that are highly relevant to the holistic development of young individuals. 

         

His presentation was structured to address both the internal and external aspects of personal growth and success. The key areas of discussion and exploration included:

1.  Techniques for mind control: Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji meticulously elaborated on various practical and effective techniques designed to cultivate greater control over one's own mind. He emphasized the critical importance of mental discipline, focus, and clarity in navigating the complexities of modern life. The discussion delved into methods for managing intrusive thoughts, enhancing concentration, and fostering a positive mental outlook, providing students with actionable strategies to improve their cognitive abilities and emotional resilience. He explained how a disciplined mind is a powerful tool for academic excellence and personal well-being, offering examples and exercises that students could readily incorporate into their daily routines to achieve a more centered and controlled state of mind. This segment was particularly impactful as it addressed a common challenge faced by students in maintaining focus amidst distractions.

2.  The manifestation of God: This segment explored the profound concept of the manifestation of God, delving into various philosophical and spiritual interpretations. Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji presented a nuanced understanding of how the divine presence can be perceived and experienced in the world around us and within oneself. He discussed the different ways in which spiritual truths are revealed and how individuals can cultivate a deeper connection with the divine. The discourse touched upon the universality of spiritual principles and the personal journey of recognizing and appreciating the divine essence in all aspects of existence. This topic encouraged students to reflect on their own spiritual beliefs and to consider the broader implications of a divine presence in their lives, fostering a sense of wonder and reverence.

3.  Strategies for achieving success (Safalta) in life: A significant portion of the session was dedicated to outlining practical and effective strategies for achieving comprehensive success, referred to as "Safalta," in all facets of life. Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji provided a holistic framework for success that extended beyond mere academic or material achievements. He underscored the importance of setting clear goals, cultivating perseverance, embracing ethical conduct, and developing a strong sense of purpose. The strategies discussed encompassed not only intellectual and professional accomplishments but also personal fulfillment, harmonious relationships, and contributions to society. He shared anecdotes and wisdom that illustrated how integrity, hard work, and a positive attitude are foundational pillars for building a truly successful and meaningful life, inspiring students to strive for excellence in all their endeavors.

4.  The integral role of body, mind, and soul in one's belief in God: This topic explored the intricate and inseparable connection between the physical body, the intellectual mind, and the spiritual soul in shaping an individual's belief system and relationship with the divine. Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji elucidated how these three fundamental components work in synergy to influence one's spiritual journey and overall well-being. He emphasized that a balanced and harmonious integration of the body, mind, and soul is essential for a profound and authentic spiritual experience. The discussion highlighted how physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual awareness collectively contribute to a deeper understanding and unwavering faith in God, encouraging students to nurture all three aspects of their being for a more complete and fulfilling life.

The entire session was distinctly characterized by its highly interactive and profoundly thought-provoking nature. Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji skillfully engaged the students through questions, discussions, and relatable examples, ensuring that the content resonated deeply with their experiences and aspirations. This interactive approach effectively highlighted the paramount importance of spiritual development, emphasizing that it is not merely an optional pursuit but an essential complement to academic achievement. Their active engagement and positive feedback underscored the profound impact of the program. The program reached its formal conclusion with a heartfelt and sincere vote of thanks. This expression of gratitude was primarily extended to Shri Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji for his truly inspiring and deeply impactful address, which left a lasting impression on all attendees. Additionally, profound appreciation was conveyed to ISKCON Andaman for their invaluable guidance, unwavering support, and for making such an enriching and transformative session possible. Bhajan Sandhya

  On October 25, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, hosted a Bhajan Sandhya at the Durga Mandir Community Hall, Lal Tikrey. The spiritual gathering saw the participation of 121 individuals, comprising 26 teachers, parents, non-teaching staff, and local villagers.


The program commenced with the chanting of three Omkaras and the Shanti Path, establishing a serene and devotional ambiance. This was succeeded by Bhadaram Karnebhi and EkyaMantra, which fostered a sense of unity and invoked a divine presence. The evening progressed with heartfelt renditions of Guru Vandana, Ganesh Vandana, Devi Vandana, and Krishna Vandana, imbuing the hall with devotion and spiritual joy. A notable segment of the evening was the recitation of the Nirvan Shatak, which enriched the spiritual experience with profound depth and introspection. The event concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, cultivating unity, devotion, and inner peace among all attendees.

Subsequently, prasadam (khichdi) was lovingly prepared and distributed with the assistance of parents, uniting the community in harmony and gratitude. The Bhajan Sandhya proved to be an uplifting experience, imparting a lasting sense of peace, devotion, and togetherness to all who were present.

Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti

  The significant birth anniversaries of two revered national leaders, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, were respectfully commemorated on the auspicious date of October 2, 2025. The commemorative events took place at the distinguished Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, situated in the serene locality of Pahalgaon. This institution, known for its commitment to holistic education, meticulously organized a series of activities to honor the legacies of these great personalities. A central feature of the day's observances was a meticulously planned peace rally, which garnered enthusiastic and widespread participation from the entire school community.

A total of 308 students, representing various age groups and academic levels within the school, actively joined the rally, demonstrating their understanding and appreciation for the principles of peace and non-violence championed by Mahatma Gandhi. Furthermore, the rally saw the dedicated involvement of all 26 teaching and non-teaching staff members, who marched alongside the students, reinforcing the collective spirit of the event and their commitment to the school's values. The collective participation underscored the unity and shared purpose within the Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya community in honoring these national heroes.

Following the conclusion of the impactful peace rally, the formal program commenced with a series of traditional and solemn rituals designed to invoke a sense of peace and spiritual reflection. The proceedings began with the recitation of three Omkar chants, a sacred sound believed to purify the environment and focus the mind. This was immediately followed by a Shanti Path, a prayer for peace and harmony, further setting a contemplative and respectful tone for the day's events. Subsequently, the program transitioned to a cultural segment, where talented students from Class 10 took to the stage to perform two deeply moving patriotic songs. Their renditions were filled with fervor and national pride, resonating with the audience and evoking a sense of shared patriotism. The musical performances were then followed by an oratorical presentation. Arush Biswas, a bright student from Class 6, delivered a thoughtful and well-prepared speech, articulating his understanding of the significance of the day and the contributions of the celebrated leaders. His address was met with appreciation from the attendees. Following Arush's speech, the audience was privileged to hear a highly inspiring and motivational address delivered by Miss A. Anuja didi. Her words were carefully chosen to uplift and encourage the students, emphasizing the enduring relevance of Gandhi's and Shastri's ideals in contemporary society. Her speech served as a powerful reminder of the values of truth, integrity, and selfless service. 

Later in the day, a brief but impactful "Safai Abhiyan" which translates to a cleanliness drive, was meticulously organized and conducted. This initiative was a practical demonstration of the principles of cleanliness and community service, echoing Mahatma Gandhi's emphasis on hygiene and sanitation. During this drive, students diligently and enthusiastically participated in tidying the school premises. Armed with broomsticks, they meticulously swept and cleaned various areas of the school grounds, demonstrating a commendable sense of responsibility and collective effort towards maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This hands-on activity not only contributed to the aesthetic appeal of the school but also instilled in the students a sense of ownership and pride in their surroundings. The day's commemorative activities, filled with reflection, inspiration, and practical action, concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets to all participants. This gesture served as a pleasant culmination to a day dedicated to honoring the profound legacies of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, leaving everyone with a sense of fulfillment and renewed commitment to their ideals.

Bhajan Sandhya

  A devotional evening, known as Bhajan Sandhya, was meticulously organized at the revered Ram Mandir in Mayabunder. This spiritual gathering was thoughtfully orchestrated by the diligent students from Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, located in Pahalgaon. The event took place on September 20, 2025, commencing precisely at 5:30 PM and concluding at 6:20 PM, providing a dedicated hour of spiritual reflection and musical devotion. A significant number of individuals actively participated in this sacred Bhajan Sandhya, with a total count of 36 participants contributing their voices and presence to the devotional hymns and prayers, fostering a profound sense of community and spiritual connection among all attendees. The collective effort of the students ensured a memorable and uplifting experience for everyone present at the Ram Mandir.



A Bhajan Sandhya was hosted on September 20, 2025, at the revered Ram Mandir, Lal Tikry. The event, held from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM, was attended by 50 devotees. The evening commenced with the recitation of Shanti Patha, fostering an atmosphere of peace and harmony, followed by Ekayamantra, Guru Vandana, and a heartfelt Guru Bhajan. The devotional ambiance was further enhanced by Ganesh Vandana, Ram Vandana, and Krishna–Ram Vandana, which imbued the temple with divine vibrations. The soulful chanting of Nirvan Shatak elevated the spiritual experience, guiding attendees toward inner peace and self-realization. The program concluded with the Concluding Mantra and the sincere singing of Kendra Prarthana. Subsequently, Prasad was distributed to all present, leaving everyone with a profound sense of serenity, devotion, and spiritual fulfillment.

This spiritually enriching event was thoughtfully orchestrated by the dedicated students of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, situated in Pahalgaon. The Bhajan Sandhya commenced precisely on September 20, 2025, at 5:30 PM, and concluded gracefully at 6:20 PM, offering a serene and uplifting experience for all attendees. A significant number of individuals actively participated in this devotional assembly, with a grand total of seventy-five participants contributing their presence and devotion to the Bhajan Sandhya, thereby making it a truly memorable and communal spiritual occasion. The collective participation underscored the event's success and its positive impact on the community.



On the auspicious evening of September 20, 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon meticulously organized and successfully executed a devotional Bhajan Sandhya. This spiritually enriching gathering was held at the revered Sudesh Nagar Kali Mandir, a significant local landmark renowned for its serene atmosphere and religious importance. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of thirteen dedicated individuals, who contributed their voices and devotion to the sacred ritual. Their collective presence and heartfelt singing fostered a truly uplifting experience for all 10 attendees. The program commenced precisely at 5:30 p.m., filling the temple with melodious hymns and spiritual chants, and concluded gracefully at 6:10 p.m., leaving participants and observers with a profound sense of peace and spiritual fulfillment. The entire event served as a testament to the school's commitment to fostering cultural and spiritual values within the community.

Universal Brotherhood Day

 Universal Brotherhood Day was held on 11th September 2025 at the Pooja Community Hall, by Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon. The Chief Guest, Shri Shivanand Bairagi ji, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Pahalgaon, was given a warm welcome. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and a bouquet presentation to the dignitaries, followed by the welcome address by Principal Sir, Shri Kamal Chandra Das ji.

Students of Classes 7 and 8 presented a melodious welcome song, followed by an inspiring teacher’s speech by Smt. Nisha. The cultural programme continued with a graceful Vandana Mantram dance performance.

Before the prize distribution ceremony, details of the competitions held earlier were shared with the audience. On 8th September 2025, a Quiz Competition and a Thought Competition (with explanation of meanings) were conducted for students. On 9th September 2025, various inter-school competitions, including Thought Competition, Drawing Competition, and Essay Competition, were organized at GSSS Pahalgaon, GSS Pahalgaon, GMS Tugapur-6, GPS Tugapur-7, and GPS Tugapur-8. On the same day, Mananeeya Hanumanth Ji visited GSSS Pahalgaon and delivered the Chicago Address, inspiring students with Swami Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood and harmony.




The prize distribution ceremony honoured winners of all these competitions, and a memento was presented to the Chief Guest. Students then showcased their talents through a patriotic dance – “Bharat Anokha Raag Hai”, followed by a speech by Sristy Kerketta, a song on Hindustan, and an energetic Bihu dance performance. The Guest of Honour, Shri Malaya Momic, Headmaster-in-Charge, Primary School, Togapur-7, distributed prizes and was also presented with a memento.

The programme concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, spreading the message of peace and universal brotherhood. The three-day celebration was a grand success and inspired everyone to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
