18TH ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2025–26

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, successfully conducted its 18th Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 on the 5th and 6th of December 2025. The two-day event was a vibrant display of discipline, teamwork, physical strength, and sportsmanship, reflecting the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Students, teachers, parents, and dignitaries actively participated, adding energy and enthusiasm to the celebration.

OPENING CEREMONY – 05 DECEMBER 2025

The Opening Ceremony commenced at 8:30 a.m., with athletes assembling at 8:15 a.m. The Chief Guest, Smti. Basanti Devi, Member, Zilla Parishad, Pahalgaon & Chairperson, Education Committee, ZP, North & Middle Andaman, graced the event and was welcomed with a bouquet. The Guest of Honor was Smti. Seema Mallick, Joint Secretary, PTA Committee, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon.

Flag Hoisting, Declaration & Oath

The Chief Guest hoisted the Sports Flag and declared the meet open. The Sports Captain led the Oath-Taking Ceremony, affirming commitment to fairness, honesty, and sportsmanship.

Lighting of the Flame & Physical Demonstrations

Selected athletes lit the Sports Flame, symbolizing the spirit of dedication and determination. This was followed by an array of physical performances including Surya Namaskar, Mass PT & Dumbbell Drill, Aerobic Drill, Ring Drill, Yoga Asanas, Saree Drill, Pyramid Formation, and a Sports Drill. Each display reflected the discipline, coordination, and hard work of the students.

Various track and field events were conducted throughout the day. The participants showcased admirable determination and enthusiasm. Winners of Day 1 events received medals and certificates from the Chief Guest.

CLOSING CEREMONY – 06 DECEMBER 2025

The Closing Ceremony was held on 6th December 2025. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Joshy P. John, Samiti Member, Gram Panchayat, Pahalgaon, accompanied by the Guest of Honour, Shri M.V. Pillai, President, PTA Committee. Both were warmly received with bouquet presentations.

Final Events

The concluding rounds of races and athletic events took place today, offering the audience thrilling and competitive performances from the students. Their energy and sportsmanship made the day exciting and memorable.

SPECIAL EVENTS FOR PARENTS & STAFF

To encourage community participation, several fun activities were organized specifically for parents and staff.

These events added warmth and strengthened the bond among the school, parents, and staff.

FINAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION & CLOSING PROTOCOL

The final prize distribution ceremony was held today. Overall champions, best athletes, and house-wise winners received medals, certificates, and trophies from the dignitaries. Special appreciation was also extended to parents and staff participants.

A concluding March Past signaled the closing of the meet. The Chief Guest officially declared the 18th Annual Athletic Meet closed, and the Sports Flag was ceremonially handed over to the Principal. The program ended with the National Anthem sung in unity.


CONCLUSION

The 18th Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 concluded successfully, showcasing athletic excellence, teamwork, discipline, and community participation. The involvement of students, teachers, parents, PTA members, and volunteers ensured a memorable and inspirational event that upheld the spirit of Vivekananda Kendra—“Man-making, Nation-building.”

Discussion on the Concept of Science

 On December 4, 2025, an interactive session titled “Discussion on the Concept of Science” was held at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, for Class VIII students. Sir Ravindra Godbole from Pune led the session, which aimed to encourage scientific thinking by explaining science as a method based on observation, experimentation, and logical reasoning. He highlighted how science connects with everyday life, motivating students to ask questions, think critically, and apply scientific ideas practically.

A total of 36 students actively participated through practical demonstrations, real-life examples, and open discussions. They also shared their own views on the role and importance of science, enriching the session. Four teachers were present, appreciating the program and encouraging students to use scientific thinking in their studies and daily activities.

The session was both engaging and educational, helping students gain a clearer understanding of what science really is and how it influences the world around them. It successfully fostered curiosity and a desire to learn more about scientific concepts.

Report on Constitution Day Celebration (26th November)

 At Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon, Constitution Day was celebrated on 26th November with great respect and enthusiasm. The program began with a special speech during the morning prayer, where the teacher explained the importance of the Indian Constitution, its features, and the various types of rights and duties it grants to citizens.

At 11:00 a.m., a Constitution pledge was administered to all teachers and students, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Following this, Prashant Sir conducted a quiz competition based on constitutional facts and national values. Students participated actively and displayed good awareness about the Constitution. The celebration helped in strengthening students understanding of the Constitution and encouraged them to become responsible and informed citizens.

Report on Gita Jayanti Celebration

 Gita Jayanti was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm in the school premises of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon on 1 December 2025. The program began in the morning assembly with a special speech on the meaning and importance of the Bhagavad Gita. Students were introduced to the Gita as the divine song of Lord Krishna and were inspired to follow its teachings in daily life.

Students also came to know about the relevance of the Gita in the lives of great personalities such as Henry David Thoreau, Annie Besant, and modern motivational speakers like Gaur Gopal Das and Dr. Bindra. Important facts about its chapters, values, and practical message were briefly shared to create awareness among the children.


In the last hour, Shri H. G. Dharma Raj Prasad Das Ji conducted a divine and enlightening lecture on the Bhagavad Gita. He explained its core values—duty, discipline, fearlessness, and inner strength—and encouraged the children to apply these teachings for a meaningful and successful life. His discourse created a spiritual and inspiring atmosphere in the school. The celebration concluded with a collective pledge to follow the values of truth, responsibility, and harmony taught in the Gita. The program helped the students connect deeply with India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
