TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers' Day is celebrated throughout the country on 5th September to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher and former President of our country. 

VKZPV Pahalgaon observed the day with great zeal and enthusiasm in the school premises. The day started with as-usual morning assembly in which Miss. Ankitha madam highlighted the importance and significance of Teachers' Day. The students of class X were given the chance to become teacher for the day. Different duties and roles were provided to them according to their choice. A special program was also arranged to celebrate the auspicious day. It was managed by students  and teachers of Kanaklata Barwa house.  

A student from class IX delivered a brief speech upon the occasion. Students from class IX and X presented a melodious Guru Bhajan and group song dedicated to teachers. Principal sir Shri. Kamal Ch. Das also addressed the gathering and enlightened everyone with his words. A memento was awarded to Shri. Nirmal Biswas Sir for his work and dedication to Vivekananda Kendra.  

The   program  was   brought   to   an   end  with concluding mantra. Soon after that house-wise Tug-of-War was held for teachers followed by a Volleyball match between students of class X and teachers. Both the games were enjoyed by all and the participants were honored with prizes at the end. 

KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

On 26 August 2024, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon celebrated Shri Krishna Janamashtami. It commenced with three omkaras followed by Aarti of Om Portrait & Shri Krishna Portrait. The Principal sir along with other teachers enlighten the students on the great deeds of Lord Krishna. 

The students of Baalvatika I to Grade II took part under fancy dress competition on the theme of Lord Krishna. The programme got concluded with concluding mantra. At the end, prasad was distributed to the devotees present in the programme.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

VKZPV Pahalgaon celebrated the occasion of Rakshabandhan with great pomp and enthusiasm on 19 August 2024 in the school premises. Students from class IV to X gathered together in the premises and the sisters tied Rakhi amulets to their brothers. The history of Rakshabandhan was elaborated in front of the students by teacher Sourav Soreng. After the programme, the team of students along with teachers proceeded to nearby public institutions i.e. The Deputy Commissioner office, North & Middle Andaman, District and Sessions Court Mayabunder, Gram Panchayat Pahalgaon, Office of Tehsildar, Office of Panchayat Samiti, Lucknow, DEO office, Mayabunder, Office of Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman, Zilla Parishad office, North & Middle Andaman, Dr. R.P. Hospital, Mayabunder, Police Station Mayabunder, State Co-operative Bank, Mayabunder, State Bank Of India, Mayabunder, PHC Tugapur, APWD department, Range Office Tugapur to tie Rakhi amulets to  the employees of the respective institutions.  It was conveyed that this practice is a part of Vivekananda Kendra and it is carried out every year to promote Indian culture.
