REPORT ON THE BHASHA UTSAV DAY

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon organized a programme 'Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav-2024' highlighted the importance and diversity of Indian languages. The week-long programme saw different activities, workshops, and programs to engage students. On the first day, students were made aware about the theme of 'harmony between language and nature.

The following objectives were:

• To provide students with information about Indian languages.

• To encourage people to learn a few more Indian languages.

   

VEER BAAL DIWAS 2024

Veer Baal Diwas was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon from 16 to 24 December 2024. Various competitions like Painting, Storytelling and Debate were held for the students in the school premises. This year, the theme for Veer Baal Diwas was "Veerta" which means act of courage, kindness and resilience displayed by children. A total number of 211 students participated in this celebration.

                                          

The students actively participated in the mentioned activities which contributed to fostering of their creativity and inspiration to contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.


Cyber Crime

On 9/12/24, at about 11:00 am, PSI Dinesh Jaiswal, PSI Nirmala and ASI Selva of PS Mayabunder visited VKZPV Pahalgaon to organize an awareness programme upon Cyber Security and Drug Abuse, POSCO, etc. They elaborated the important key points and explained the students about the ways to take it. The children listened to them attentively and even raised several questions which were cleared to them by the spokesperson. It was urged to all the students to spread the message and information in the society further.

SELF-DEFENCE

On 13th December, 2024 , VKZPV PAHALGAON conducted a self-defense programme in which all the girls of class VI , VII & VIII were arranged together in the ground for taking part in it. Participants were guided and instructed by PET instructor Sumita madam and taught and demonstrated various self-defense techniques to the participants. All the girls felt empowered and motivated by learning those techniques.

GITA JAYANTI

On 11th December 2024, VKZPV Pahalgaon Celebrated Gita Jayanti with great Vanity and Enthusiasm.All the students were arranged for Prayer Assembly and teacher Anuja Didi gave a Speech to enlighten everyone about the day. Then in the Second half, a small programme was conducted. It was started by  there Omkars as usual. A Student of class VIII was the anchor for the day. She introduced the programme and led it further. Two group songs were presented by the students of class VII & VIII.  

Also Students of class III presented a song in a melodious manner.Two shlokas from Gita were presented by a student of class IV & VII. A speech also presented by a student of class VIII. Then everyone chanted Karmayoga Shlokas in unison with great utter devotion. At last, the programme was brought to an end by concluding mantras.

Sadhana Divas

VKZPV Pahalgaon observed Sadhana Divas on 19th November 2024 with zeal and fervor. Science, Maths, Arts and Craft exhibition - "AVINYA" was held on the day in the school. It was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri S. Kannan Ji (Inspector) SHO, Mayabunder and the special guest Shri Subhendu Hira Ji, PTA Secretary by lighting the lamp and offering of flowers to the portraits of Eknathji, Om and Bharat Mata.

The revered guests were then escorted towards the exhibits where they motivated and encouraged the students to stay creative in their life. There were four rooms allotted for exhibition and every room had its own charm. Exhibits of all the academic subjects were kept room-wise including craft items. The students showcased their talent wholeheartedly in front  of the visitors in the event. Judges for the day were Smti. Deepannita  Das (GTT Maths), Smti. Nisha (GTT Science) and Smti.



Reena Laxmi (Teacher, VKZPV Pahalgaon). Around 750 people showed up for the event altogether. Visitors enjoyed and motivated the students for their sheer talent and hard work in the exhibition. The event was closed at 2pm lastly.

Children's Day Celebration

VKZPV Pahalgaon celebrated Children's Day on 14th November with great delight. At first, regular school assembly took place which was led by the students who participated in the fancy dress competition upon the topic "Birsa Munda-  an unsung tribal freedom fighter".


Then after a while, cultural program was started and it was led by two students of class IX. A group of students presented a patriotic song and Ritik Chander Rao Sir gave a heart warming speech to commemorate the day. A student from class VIII also presented a brief speech on her part followed by a small group song sung by a few students. A praiseworthy dance was also presented by a group of students on a patriotic song. Lastly, a vote of thanks was given by a student of class X and finally the cultural program was brought to an end.


After the program, a volleyball match was held for the boys of all the four houses in which Kanaklata Barwa House won the final. Similarly, Kho-Kho match was also organized for the girls of all the four houses. The students enjoyed a lot by playing and watching the games on their special day.

Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti


VKZPV Pahalgaon  celebrated Gandhiji and Shastriji's Jayanti on 2nd October 2024 with fervor and enthusiasm. As the students assembled in the premises, they were made to say slogans and a rally was also taken upto a small distance. The students were giving slogans in unison during the rally. As everyone gathered back in the school, the programme got started with three omkaras as usual.The programme was led by  a student of class IX who presented her exceptional anchoring skills.


A student of class V gave a brief speech upon the life of those great leaders of our nation. Miss. Deepika Kumari mam elaborated the importance of   the day with her words. A few group songs were presented by the students along with the noteworthy Ramdhun. The Programme concluded with concluding mantra. The snacks were distributed to all the students and staff members at last. A total number of 393 students, 18 teaching  and 6 non teaching staffs were present in the programme.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY

 

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon observed "Universal Brotherhood Day" on 11 Sept. 2024 to honor the historic speech delivered by Swami Ji on this day in Chicago in the year of 1893. He addressed the gathering at the "World Parliament of Religions" which brought him recognition worldwide. 

The program was organized by Neera Arya House of the school. It was anchored by the students of class IX. Shri. Manikam Pillai, SMC Chairman was the Chief Guest and Shri. Subendu Hira, PTA Secretary was the Guest of  Honor for the day.

The  program started with lamp lighting ceremony followed with chanting of Ekya Mantra. A heartwarming welcome speech was given by Shri Kamal Chandra Das. The importance of the day was elaborated by Shri Baleshwar Ram, teacher of the school. 

Vivid cultural events like dance, song, skit, etc. were performed by the students of the school. Students also dressed up like Swami Ji and elaborated his thoughts superbly. 

Prize distribution also took place for the various competitions held in the school on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day.  
 A memento was presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor by the Principal Sir. The Chief Guest Shri M.V. Pillai shared his opinions about this historic day. A vote of thanks was presented by a student of class X and the program got concluded with concluding Mantra.

GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION


 On 7th September 2024 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and elation. The ceremonial worship commenced with three Omkaras and shanti path. Then Ganesh Mantra and Bhajan were presented by the students. Idol making competition  was also organized in the premises. Participants were divided into two groups - Class I to V and class VI to X. 

Vibrant and attractive idols of Lord Ganesha were showcased by the students that were made by their own. As per the ritual, Aarti ceremony was performed by the students, teachers and non-teaching staffs of the school with utmost devotion.   
 

The ceremony was brought to an end with concluding mantra. At last, Prashad was distributed to all the devotees.
