Report on Environmental Awareness Competitions April 2026

 A series of environmental awareness competitions were organized in Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon during April 2026 with the aim of creating awareness among students about important environmental issues and encouraging their creativity and active participation. On 24th April 2026, a drawing competition was conducted for the students of Classes III to V on the topic “Save Water,” in which a total of 42 students participated enthusiastically and expressed their ideas on water conservation through creative drawings. On the same day, another drawing competition was organized for the students of Classes VI to VIII on the topic “Say No to Single-Use Plastic,” with the participation of 38 students who highlighted the importance of reducing plastic usage. Further, on 27th April 2026, a drawing competition was conducted for the students of Classes III to V on the topic “Save Energy,” where 47 students took part and showcased their understanding of energy conservation. On 28th April 2026, a poster making competition was organized for the students of Classes IX and X on the topic “Reduce E-Waste,” with the participation of 18 students who prepared informative posters emphasizing the need for proper management of electronic waste. All the competitions were conducted successfully, and students participated with great enthusiasm.

REPORT ON MOCK DRILL ON EARTHQUAKE

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Phalgaon conducted a mock drill on earthquake preparedness on 28 April 2026 in the school premises. The drill was organized to create awareness among students and staff about safety measures during an earthquake. A total of 368 students and 18 teachers participated in the drill. The programme began with instructions given by the teachers on how to stay safe. Students were guided to follow safety steps like “Drop, Cover, and Hold”. An emergency evacuation was carried out in an orderly manner. The staff ensured that all students reached the safe assembly area quickly and calmly. The drill helped students understand the importance of preparedness and quick response during emergencies. It was an informative and well-organized activity.

Report on Jal Shakti Abhiyan Activities

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, various competitions were organized in the school to create awareness about water conservation among students. On 22nd and 23rd April 2026, a Drawing Competition for Classes III to V, an Essay Writing Competition for Classes IX and X on the topic “Importance of Water Conservation,” and a Poster Making Competition on the topic “Water Conservation” were held. A total of 57 students participated in these competitions. Through these activities, students were made aware of the importance of water conservation and were encouraged to adopt water-saving practices in their daily life.

REPORT ON SMC/PTA MEETING ON “JAL SHAKTI”

An SMC/PTA meeting on the topic Jal Shakti was held on 20 April 2026 in the school auditorium. The meeting was attended by the Principal, teachers, parents, and SMC members. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, who highlighted the importance of water conservation. Students presented short speeches and posters on saving water. Parents and members actively participated and shared useful suggestions such as rainwater harvesting, reducing water wastage, and spreading awareness in the community.

Report on Jal Shakti Abhiyan Pledge

 The pledge under Jal Shakti Abhiyan was solemnly taken on 16th April 2026 at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon. The programme was organized to create awareness about the importance of water conservation and the responsible use of water resources. A total of 366 students actively participated in the pledge, along with all the teaching staff of the school. The pledge was administered with great enthusiasm, encouraging everyone to adopt water-saving habits in their daily lives and to spread awareness in the community. The programme concluded with a message highlighting the need to protect and conserve water for future generations. The active participation of students and staff made the event meaningful and successful.

Vidyarambham

 Vidyarambham was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya (VKZPV), Pahalgaon, on April 1, 2026. The event was attended by 24 students and 12 parents. Shipra Saha and Aditi Kirtanaya, teachers at VKZPV Pahalgaon, led the puja, which commenced with Shanti Paath, followed by three recitations of Om, and Saraswati Vandana. Subsequently, parents guided their children in writing "Om" with rice, and all students were offered honey. Following these rituals, Shri Kamal Chandra Das, Principal of VKZPV Pahalgaon, held a meeting with the parents. The program concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra.

Welcome Ceremony 2026

 On April 1, 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon hosted a welcome ceremony to inaugurate the new academic session. The event commenced with the offering of flowers to the portraits of Swami Vivekananda and Bharat Mata, accompanied by the serene background chanting of "OM." All class teachers were positioned in front of their respective classrooms, ready to greet their students with a Chandan tilak. The school community, comprising 307 students, 18 teaching staff, and 6 non-teaching staff, embraced this ceremony with profound affection and joy.

Personality Development Camp 2026

 A three-day Personality Development Camp took place at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, from March 23rd to 25th, 2026. 65 students from Classes VI and VII, along with 19 teachers and 6 non-teaching staff participated. The camp aimed to foster discipline, values, awareness, and overall personality.


Day 1 commenced with Prathasmaran and an inaugural function featuring traditional rituals like tilak, shankh blowing, bouquet presentation, and lamp lighting with the Ekya Mantra. Shri Prasanta Bepari delivered the welcome address. Chief Guest Shri Bappi Choudhary, Inspector, Fire Brigade, Mayabunder, and Guest of Honour Shri Subhendu Hira, Member of SMC & School Safety Committee, attended. Shri Bappi Choudhary gave an inspiring speech. Students were divided into four groups: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rabindranath Tagore, Ashoka, and Subhash Chandra Bose. Smti Sapna Mandal, Community Health Officer, Dr. RB Hospital, Mayabunder, led a session on health and hygiene. Bhojan was served by students. Ritik Bhaiya conducted a health awareness session. The day concluded with Sanskar Varga, the action song “Sundar Dariya,” and refreshments.

   
Day 2 began with Prathasmaran. Ankitha Didi led a session on time management. Shri Shibananda Bairagi, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat, Pahalgaon, discussed students' role in Panchayati Raj. Shri B. Santosh Kumar, Sub-Inspector, Police Station Mayabunder, led a session on cyber safety and digital awareness. After lunch, Namrata Didi discussed responsible digital gadget use. The day ended with Sanskar Varga, an action dance “Hum Waqt Badal Denge,” and snacks.


Day 3 featured Prathasmaran and a valedictory function. Chief Guest Shri Shibananda Bairagi and Guest of Honour Shri M. V. Pillai attended. The ceremony included bouquet presentation and lamp lighting. Arpita Didi conducted a stress management session, followed by Sanskar Varga, snacks, and a session on serving the nation by Baleshwar Bhaiya. Students again distributed Bhojan. Priyanshu Dhali shared his camp experience. Cultural presentations included the song “Chandan Hai Is Desh Ki Maati” and the Shibir song “Desh Hame Deta Hai Sab Kuch.” Supriya Didi gave the vote of thanks, and the camp concluded with the Shanti Mantra.

REPORT ON EARTHQUAKE MOCK DRILL

 An Earthquake Mock Drill took place on 26.02.2026 at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon. The drill aimed to raise awareness and preparedness for earthquakes among students and staff. Participants learned safety precautions and evacuation procedures, including Drop, Cover, and Hold techniques. Safe evacuation routes and assembly points were identified, and the importance of calmness was stressed. A total of 412 participants (387 students, 19 teachers, 6 support staff) participated actively and systematically under supervision. All understood the safety protocols. The drill successfully enhanced school community awareness and preparedness, which is crucial for minimizing panic during real emergencies.

Achievements at Subhash Mela, Mayabunder

The students of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon actively participated in the Subhash Mela organized at Mayabunder. The mela provided a vibrant platform for students to display their cultural talents and creativity along with participants from different schools. In the cultural competitions, the middle section students of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon secured the First Prize for their impressive dance performance on the theme “ Vishnu ke Avatars ”. Their synchronized movements, expressive presentation, and colorful costumes won appreciation from the judges and audience.


The primary section students also made the school proud by winning the Third Prize for their performance based on the theme “ Operation Sindoor”. The act reflected patriotism, discipline, and confidence among the young learners.

These achievements highlight the dedication of the students and the committed efforts of the teachers. Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon congratulates all participants for their remarkable performance and success.

Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha

 The Department of Police, Mayabunder, conducted an awareness program on Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon at 10:30 a.m. The programme was organized for the students of Class 8 and Class 9 to create awareness about road safety and responsible behavior on roads. A total of 73 students and 7 teaching staff members attended the programme. Police staff Smti. Sunita Kumari and Smti. Mary addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets and seat belts, using zebra crossings, and avoiding the use of mobile phones while on the road. Real-life examples were shared to explain the consequences of negligence. The session was informative and interactive, motivating students to become responsible citizens and follow road safety rules in their daily lives.

Matrupuja Celebration

Matrupuja was solemnly celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon on the school campus at 10:30 a.m. with great devotion and spiritual fervor. The program was organized for the parents and students of Class 10th  to instill values of gratitude, respect, and reverence towards parents, especially mothers. A total of 35 students, 37 parents, and 26 staff members including the Principal actively participated in the ceremony. The puja began with the auspicious rituals conducted by Ankita Didi, who led all the mantras and chantings. The atmosphere was serene and devotional as students performed Pada Puja (washing the feet of their mothers), expressing love, respect, and humility.
At the beginning of the programme, the Principal, Shri Kamal Chandra Das, addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Matrupuja, emphasizing the vital role of parents in a child’s moral, emotional, and spiritual development. All the rituals and chantings were performed smoothly under the guidance of Ankita Didi.

At the end of the puja, Principal Sir shared his views, followed by parents who expressed their heartfelt experiences and emotions about the significance of Matrupuja. The program concluded with prasad distribution, which was carried out by the staff members. The celebration left a lasting impression on everyone present and strengthened the bond between parents and children.
