A series of environmental awareness competitions were organized in Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon during April 2026 with the aim of creating awareness among students about important environmental issues and encouraging their creativity and active participation. On 24th April 2026, a drawing competition was conducted for the students of Classes III to V on the topic “Save Water,” in which a total of 42 students participated enthusiastically and expressed their ideas on water conservation through creative drawings. On the same day, another drawing competition was organized for the students of Classes VI to VIII on the topic “Say No to Single-Use Plastic,” with the participation of 38 students who highlighted the importance of reducing plastic usage. Further, on 27th April 2026, a drawing competition was conducted for the students of Classes III to V on the topic “Save Energy,” where 47 students took part and showcased their understanding of energy conservation. On 28th April 2026, a poster making competition was organized for the students of Classes IX and X on the topic “Reduce E-Waste,” with the participation of 18 students who prepared informative posters emphasizing the need for proper management of electronic waste. All the competitions were conducted successfully, and students participated with great enthusiasm.

Report on Jal Shakti Abhiyan Activities
Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon under the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, various competitions were organized in the school to create awareness about water conservation among students. On 22nd and 23rd April 2026, a Drawing Competition for Classes III to V, an Essay Writing Competition for Classes IX and X on the topic “Importance of Water Conservation,” and a Poster Making Competition on the topic “Water Conservation” were held. A total of 57 students participated in these competitions. Through these activities, students were made aware of the importance of water conservation and were encouraged to adopt water-saving practices in their daily life.

REPORT ON SMC/PTA MEETING ON “JAL SHAKTI”
An SMC/PTA meeting on the topic Jal Shakti was held on 20 April 2026 in the school auditorium. The meeting was attended by the Principal, teachers, parents, and SMC members. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, who highlighted the importance of water conservation. Students presented short speeches and posters on saving water. Parents and members actively participated and shared useful suggestions such as rainwater harvesting, reducing water wastage, and spreading awareness in the community.

Vidyarambham
Vidyarambham was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya (VKZPV), Pahalgaon, on April 1, 2026. The event was attended by 24 students and 12 parents. Shipra Saha and Aditi Kirtanaya, teachers at VKZPV Pahalgaon, led the puja, which commenced with Shanti Paath, followed by three recitations of Om, and Saraswati Vandana. Subsequently, parents guided their children in writing "Om" with rice, and all students were offered honey. Following these rituals, Shri Kamal Chandra Das, Principal of VKZPV Pahalgaon, held a meeting with the parents. The program concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra.
Welcome Ceremony 2026
On April 1, 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon hosted a welcome ceremony to inaugurate the new academic session. The event commenced with the offering of flowers to the portraits of Swami Vivekananda and Bharat Mata, accompanied by the serene background chanting of "OM." All class teachers were positioned in front of their respective classrooms, ready to greet their students with a Chandan tilak. The school community, comprising 307 students, 18 teaching staff, and 6 non-teaching staff, embraced this ceremony with profound affection and joy.
