The Department of Police, Mayabunder, conducted an awareness program on Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon at 10:30 a.m. The program was organized for the students of Class 8 and Class 9 to create awareness about road safety and responsible behavior on roads. A total of 73 students and 7 teaching staff members attended the program. Police staff Smti. Sunita Kumari and Smti. Mary addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets and seat belts, using zebra crossings, and avoiding the use of mobile phones while on the road. Real-life examples were shared to explain the consequences of negligence. The session was informative and interactive, motivating students to become responsible citizens and follow road safety rules in their daily lives.
Matrupuja was solemnly celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon on the school campus at 10:30 a.m. with great devotion and spiritual fervor. The program was organized for the parents and students of Class 10th to instill values of gratitude, respect, and reverence towards parents, especially mothers. A total of 35 students, 37 parents, and 26 staff members including the Principal actively participated in the ceremony. The puja began with the auspicious rituals conducted by Ankita Didi, who led all the mantras and chantings. The atmosphere was serene and devotional as students performed Pada Puja (washing the feet of their mothers), expressing love, respect, and humility.
At the beginning of the program, the Principal, Shri Kamal Chandra Das, addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of Matrupuja, emphasizing the vital role of parents in a child’s moral, emotional, and spiritual development. All the rituals and chantings were performed smoothly under the guidance of Ankita Didi.
At the end of the puja, Principal Sir shared his views, followed by parents who expressed their heartfelt experiences and emotions about the significance of Matrupuja. The program concluded with prasad distribution, which was carried out by the staff members. The celebration left a lasting impression on everyone present and strengthened the bond between parents and children.
Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 26 January 2026 at 6:30 a.m. The program began with the flag hoisting ceremony, which was gracefully conducted by our respected Principal, Shri Kamal Chandra Das. After the flag hoisting, a meaningful speech was delivered by Saboni Didi, highlighting the importance of the Indian Constitution and the values of unity and discipline. This was followed by an inspiring speech by Angel, a student of Class IX, who spoke confidently about the significance of Republic Day and the duties of responsible citizens.
Students then presented a patriotic song that filled the atmosphere with pride and devotion. The program concluded with an encouraging address by the Principal, motivating students to uphold national values in their lives.
The celebration ended with snacks distribution to all students and staff. A total of 447 students and 26 staff members participated in the event, making it a memorable and successful celebration.
Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon celebrated Saraswati Puja with great devotion and enthusiasm on 23 January 2026 at 8:30 a.m. The program began with the installation of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, followed by traditional prayers and hymns seeking blessings for knowledge and wisdom. Teachers, students, parents, and members of the local community actively participated in the celebration. Community people extended their support by helping in the arrangements and management of the program. The atmosphere of the school campus was peaceful and spiritual.
Students offered flowers and prayers with deep respect and devotion. Teachers guided the students about the importance of Saraswati Puja and the value of education. At the end of the program, prasad of khichdi with vegetables and kheer was prepared and distributed among 631 people, including students, parents, teachers, and community members. The celebration concluded successfully with joy and harmony.
Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, commemorated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti in conjunction with its Annual Day for the academic year 2025–26 on 12 January 2026 at 4:45 PM, with remarkable zeal and reverence. The celebration was conducted under the evocative theme “Ignite the Self, Impact the World,” encapsulating the spirit of self-awakening and social responsibility envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.
The programme recorded an impressive participation of 439 students, 25 faculty members, and 572 members of the local community, underscoring the institution’s strong bond with society and its commitment to inclusive educational engagement.
The proceedings commenced with a ceremonial bouquet presentation followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge. Shri Kamal Chandra Das, Principal of the institution, delivered the welcome address, eloquently articulating the contemporary relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy in nurturing moral integrity, intellectual vigor, and national consciousness among young learners.
The cultural segment, presented by students from Balvatika to Class X, was both vibrant and thematically cohesive.
