SWAMI VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI AND NATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION

Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, commemorated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti in conjunction with its Annual Day for the academic year 2025–26 on 12 January 2026 at 4:45 PM, with remarkable zeal and reverence. The celebration was conducted under the evocative theme “Ignite the Self, Impact the World,” encapsulating the spirit of self-awakening and social responsibility envisioned by Swami Vivekananda.




The programme recorded an impressive participation of 439 students, 25 faculty members, and 572 members of the local community, underscoring the institution’s strong bond with society and its commitment to inclusive educational engagement.
The proceedings commenced with a ceremonial bouquet presentation followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge. Shri Kamal Chandra Das, Principal of the institution, delivered the welcome address, eloquently articulating the contemporary relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy in nurturing moral integrity, intellectual vigor, and national consciousness among young learners.




The cultural segment, presented by students from Balvatika to Class X, was both vibrant and thematically cohesive. The performances—including Ganesh Vandana, patriotic choral renditions, Shiv Tandav, thought-provoking skits, and theme-based classical and folk dances were meticulously curated to reflect the ideals of unity, discipline, and patriotic fervor.
The august gathering was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, Smti. Basanti Devi, Chairperson, Education Committee, Zilla Parishad (North & Middle Andaman) Chairperson, Education Committee, Zilla Parishad (North & Middle Andaman). The event was further graced by Guest of Honour Shri Joshy P. John and Smti. Meena Kumari, Samiti Members, along with Pradhans Shri Sibananda Bairagi (GP Pahalgaon) and Shri K. Chitra Velu (GP Mayabunder). In the course of the ceremony, meritorious students were felicitated for their exemplary academic and co-curricular accomplishments. In her inspirational address, the Chief Guest exhorted the students to internalize Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of self-confidence, perseverance, and service to humanity.



The programme culminated with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Shri Prasanta Bepari, Teacher, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the dignitaries, staff, students, and community members for their invaluable cooperation and support, thereby rendering the event a resounding success.
