HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign

 An intensified HIV/AIDS awareness campaign was conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon on 29 August 2025, in observance of AIDS Control Day, under the guidance of NACO.  Beginning at 10:15 a.m., NACO representatives Sushant Halder Counsellor and Sushanto Sardar Male Health Worker  addressed the assembled students and staff.  Their presentation covered key aspects of HIV/AIDS, including symptoms, transmission routes, necessary precautions, and preventative measures.  Information regarding relevant laws, acts, and the NACO toll-free helpline was also disseminated.  A total of 38 students from Class IX, 20 students from Class X, and three teaching staff members actively participated. The informative session encouraged participants to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and adopt safe, responsible practices.


National Sports Day Celebration

 Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon, commemorated National Sports Day with a series of engaging events on August 29, 2025.  The celebration served as a tribute to the legendary hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as National Sports Day in India.  The day's proceedings commenced with an insightful speech delivered by Lalithanjali mam, who eloquently recounted the life and extraordinary achievements of Major Dhyan Chand, highlighting his dedication, skill, and unwavering national pride.  Lalithanjali's presentation captivated the audience, inspiring them with stories of Major Dhyan Chand's remarkable sporting prowess and his contribution to Indian hockey.  Following the inspiring speech, Namita mam, led the students and teachers in a solemn pledge.  


This pledge reaffirmed their commitment to the spirit of sportsmanship, fair play, and the pursuit of physical fitness.  The pledge emphasized the importance of incorporating sports and physical activity into their daily lives for overall well-being.  The celebrations continued with an inter-house yoga competition, showcasing the flexibility, balance, and mental focus of the participating students.  Eight students, representing different houses, demonstrated various yoga asanas with grace and precision.  Balaswaram sir and Priya mam, experienced yoga practitioners, served as judges for the competition, carefully evaluating each participant's performance based on technique, posture, and breathing.  The yoga competition highlighted the growing popularity of yoga among the students and its significance in promoting physical and mental health.  The highlight of the day was the inter-house volleyball match for boys, a thrilling display of teamwork, athleticism, and competitive spirit.  A total of 48 students, divided into four teams representing their respective houses, participated in the exhilarating match.  Under the watchful supervision of Namita mam and Prashanta sir, who ensured fair play and adherence to the rules, the boys showcased their volleyball skills, captivating the audience with their energetic rallies and strategic plays.

The enthusiastic cheers and applause from the spectators added to the electrifying atmosphere.  The National Sports Day celebration at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya was well-attended by students, teachers, and staff members, all of whom contributed to the vibrant and memorable occasion.  The event successfully promoted the importance of sports and physical activity in fostering a healthy and active lifestyle.

Ganesh Chaturthi

 Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya Pahalgaon on August 27, 2025.  404 students and 24 staff members participated in the festivities honoring Lord Ganesha.  The program began at 8:30 a.m. with the 3 Omkara, Shanti Paath, led by Arpita Madam.  Students then offered devotional bhajans, followed by a performance by Riya Madam.  Students presented flowers to the image of Lord Ganesha.  An idol-making competition took place, judged by Nisha Mam and Nirmal Sir, showcased students' creativity.  The judges commended the students' artistic talent and understanding of the festival's significance.  The celebration concluded with the distribution of prasad.

 The event fostered unity and cultural understanding among the students and staff.  The celebration served as a reminder of India's rich cultural heritage.
