VKZPV, Pahalgaon, observed its 17th Annual Athletic Meet 2024-25 on 24th January 2025 with great zeal & enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony was Shri. Joshy P. John, Samiti Member of Gram Panchayat, Pahalgaon, and the Guest of Honour was Shri. Subhendu Hira. They were welcomed by the teachers and students, and bouquets were presented to them. After that, the March Past began, in which students of all four houses of the school—Neera Arya House (Red), Rani Chenamma House (Blue), Jhalkari Bai House (Green), and Kanaklata Barwa House (Yellow)—showed their team spirit and coordination of the body movements.
The event was declared OPEN by the chief guest, followed by an oath-taking ceremony. The students performed mass P.T. followed by ring drill, yoga exercises, and Surya Namaskar, and after that, students showcased various types of pyramid formations in front of the audience.
The chief guest was then invited to speak a few words for the day, and soon after the speech, the sports events were flagged off, and various competitions were held for all the classes. Students participated with great interest and cheered for the team members and friends. In between the events, prizes were also distributed to the winners by the chief guest, the guest of honor, and committee members. During the lunch, the midday meal was served to each and every student. Once again the events were flagged off after the lunch break.
The chief guest for the closing ceremony was Shri. M.V. Pillai, chairman, SMC, VKZPV Pahalgaon, and the guest of honor was Smti. Banita Rani Mondal, President, Mother's Committee, VKZPV, Pahalgaon. The honorable guests felicitated the winners in between the events. The chief guest also gave a speech highlighting the importance of sports. He declared the meet closed, and the flag was lowered down. At last, the national anthem was sung, and finally the day was concluded.
