Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Pahalgaon, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026 with enthusiasm and reverence. The programme was attended by 371 students and 19 teachers.
Firstly Ritik bhaiya highlights the importance of the day and Swami Vivekananda visit to Chicago and its impact on Global scale.
The programme commenced with the Shanti Mantra, followed by the presentation of bouquets to the Chief Guest, Smt. Basanti Devi, Chairperson, Education Committee, Zilla North and Middle Andaman, and the Guest of Honour, Smt. Latha, Vice Chairperson, SMC, VKZPV Pahalgaon. The dignitaries, along with the Principal Sir, then lit the ceremonial lamp. The Principal Sir delivered the welcome address and highlighted the significance of Universal Brotherhood and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
A video presentation on Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago Address was shown to the students. This was followed by a fancy dress competition for the Balvatika classes, songs by students, and a speech by Sejal Chand of Class VIII. A student also presented a thought for the day.
The programme continued with prize distribution for various competitions, followed by a student dance and a speech by Anjan Bhaiya. Students presented another song, after which prizes were distributed for the remaining competitions.
The Chief Guest, Smt. Basanti Devi, addressed the gathering and emphasized the message of unity, harmony, and universal brotherhood. A memento was presented to the Chief Guest as a token of gratitude. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Priya Didi, followed by the Shanti Mantra.
The celebration successfully conveyed Swami Vivekananda’s timeless message of peace, unity, harmony, and brotherhood among all people.
